Our work in video covers more than a decade of visits to Heaven’s Nest, the orphanage in Nigeria that SAAK has supported since 2010. The footage comes from our own trips and is published on our YouTube channel.
- 2016: New bunk beds with mattresses and food distributions at Heaven’s Nest.
- December 2018: Our largest distribution so far, with food, clothing, medical supplies and educational materials for orphanage homes across Nigeria.
- 2021: “A Day at Heaven’s Nest,” filmed at the opening of the school SAAK helped build with JEB FOODS.
Why we film our work in video
Video lets donors see for themselves what their gifts make possible: the supplies that arrive, the children who receive them and the changes over time. We are adding more footage from the field as we digitize it.

You will see the beds, food, clothing, medical supplies and school materials that arrive; the children and caregivers who receive them; and the school SAAK helped build in 2021. Many of the children at Heaven’s Nest live with severe disabilities.

The story behind the films
Our featured film, A Day at Heaven’s Nest, shows the 2021 opening of the school we built with our partner JEB FOODS, along with a full supply distribution of food, clothing and educational materials. You can find more films on our YouTube channel.
Here is the history those films come from:
- 2010: our founder and his family found the children of Heaven’s Nest orphanage in Nigeria living on bare floors in dark, unfinished rooms.
- 2012: SAAK was incorporated as the public face of JEB Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- 2016: new bunk beds with mattresses for Heaven’s Nest, plus food distributions for the children.
- 2018: our largest distribution so far, with food, clothing, medical supplies and school materials for hundreds of children at orphanage homes across Nigeria.
- 2021: a new school for the children of Heaven’s Nest, built with our partner JEB FOODS.
- November 2023: mentoring and life skills programs with local partners in Nigeria.
- January 2024: a winter food drive that brought nutritious meals and clean water to dozens of orphaned children.
Our motto is simple: No Child Left Behind. Every film in our work in video is a small window into that promise. Our work in video is shared here and on YouTube, so anyone can see where support goes and what it makes possible.
